Down in the southwest of England lies a small county called Dorset, crammed into the little gap between Devon, Somerset and the sea.
Down in the south of Dorset lies a smallish town called Weymouth similarly wedged in the space between the River Wey, a lot of fields and the sea. This humble seaside town holds the grand reputation of being the first port to bring the Bubonic Plague ashore into England, as well as the first Black Labrador. Not really a pair of imports to be proud of, really. One killed about half of the country’s population, while the other just makes anyone in their vicinity’s life a misery.
Anyway, within that small town lives Lilka Readman, a 22-year-old female with long black hair that would be hard enough to control without the regular gale-force winds sweeping in off the English Channel. She clings to dreams that she will one day be able to move away from the seaside, and maybe eventually earn a living by making soft toys and other furry things. But until that happens, she intends to pour her seemingly endless misery shamelessly into her LiveJournal, so that the world may read it, and collectively laugh at her.
